All roads lead to... Berlin. What are the options to get to Berlin?

By train:

Coming from the Netherlands travelling by train is quite easy. Trains need about 6 hours from Amsterdam or Utrecht to Berlin Hauptbahnhof (main station) or Berlin Ostbahnhof (east station). For further information on connections and prices please check the website of Deutsche Bahn. (You can switch to Dutch or other languages on the upper right part of the site.)

The Deutsche Bahn offers very good discounts for booking in advance (includes booking a specific connection, not flexible to change time of departure after booking).

By plane:

Airport destinations would be Berlin-Tegel or Berlin-Schoenefeld. Both will work well to get to the conference. KLM flies from Amsterdam to Berlin-Tegel.

From Berlin-Tegel to the venue:

By public transport take the bus TXL (direction: S+U Alexanderplatz), get off at "Berlin Hauptbahnhof" (main station) and board the S-Bahn S3, S5 or S75 (direction eastwards) til the stop "Warschauer Strasse". Duration: ~40 min.

Taxi transfer to the hotel would be about 40 Euro.

From Berlin-Schoenefeld to the venue:

Take the S-Bahn S9 (direction Pankow) to the stop "S Ostkreuz", change for the S 5 (direction Westkreuz) and get off at the stop "Warschauer Strasse". Duration: ~40 min.

Taxi transfer to the hotel would be about 30-35 Euro.

By car:

The conference takes place at the Michelberger Hotel, Warschauer Str. 39, 10243 Berlin. For route planning use this link.
